Working Mothers Education & Support Program—working mothers with a child/children between the ages of 0-5 may be eligible for this program.  Please call 843-629-0830 or email vbrown@lighthouseflorence.org for more information or to confirm eligibility.

Strengthening Families Program—families with a child/children between the ages of 6-11 may be eligible for this program. Please call 843-629-0830 or email fporter@lighthouseflorence.org for more information or to confirm eligibility.

Ramp Assistance Medical Program (RAMP)—individuals with limited income and a medical need for a ramp or handrails may be eligible for assistance with building supplies and volunteers to aid in construction.  Please call 843-629-0830 or email fporter@lighthouseflorence.org for more information or to confirm eligibility.

Food—Florence County residents in need of food may come to Lighthouse Ministries on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-3:00.  Participants may only receive food once every three months and must be able to provide personal photo ID and Social Security cards for everyone in the household.  After requesting food more than twice in one year, a scheduled interview is required prior to additional assistance.  Please call 843-629-0830 for more information or to confirm eligibility.

Diapers—Lighthouse Ministries has a limited number of diapers and sizes to distribute to those who are not enrolled in the Working Mothers Education and Support Program. Participants may only receive diapers once every three month and must be able to provide personal photo ID and Social Security cards for everyone in the household.  After requesting diapers more than twice in one year, a scheduled interview is required prior to additional assistance.  Please call 843-629-0830 for more information or to confirm eligibility.

Fans—provided once/ two years to individuals in need who are 55+.  Availability of fans is dependent on donations.  Distribution typically runs from May-September.  Participant must be able to provide personal photo ID and Social Security cards for everyone in the household. Blankets—provided once/ year to individuals in need who are 55+.  Availability of blankets is dependent on donations.  Distribution typically runs from November-February.  Participant must be able to provide personal photo ID and Social Security cards for everyone in the household. Referrals—Appropriate referrals for additional services are offered to everyone who seeks assistance from Lighthouse Ministries.  Lighthouse Ministries does not refer participants to local churches or congregations.

Children’s Books— Participants may take home two books per child in household.

Clothing Assistance—Participants who are currently being interviewed for other assistance may receive a voucher for clothing to the Disability Thrift Store.

Furniture Assistance—Furniture assistance is available for people who have recently experienced a burnout, who are transitioning from a homeless shelter, or who are fleeing domestic violence.
